For years, I have been passionate about reusing, repurposing, repairing, and the DIY approach. In today’s consumer-driven world, I deeply value every person who gains a new, hands-on skill. Whether it’s building a model, sewing, designing, or simply using imagination to create—these moments have real impact. This is my small but meaningful contribution to changing the world.
Zakład Makerspace was an extraordinary hub in Poland, filled with creative, hands-on people. As a board member, I gained invaluable experience in organizing workshops, managing events, and fostering a strong community. Through this, I developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which help me adapt to new challenges and bring ideas to life.
I also led model-making and architectural imagination workshops, working with different groups in different contexts. Regardless of the setting, the core idea remained the same—creating with our own hands, deepening spatial awareness, and expanding the horizons of imagination. These experiences strengthened my ability to organize, teach, and inspire others.
Since moving to Berlin nearly two years ago, I’ve been exploring local communities and the DIY movement. This led me to Initiative Mittel- und Osteuropa e.V. (InMOE)—an ngo connecting makers and creatives across Germany and Central and Eastern Europe. I first joined as a participant in the 3DECO workshop, which focused on sustainability, digital fabrication, and circular design. Inspired by the experience, I became a member of InMOE, allowing me to further engage in international maker activities and collaborate on community-driven initiatives.
